SCHOLARSHIPS
ISPE Foundation offers scholarships to Illinois students enrolled in ABET
accredited engineering programs. Click on the scholarship name below
to download an application. For further information, contact the
Foundation at 217.544.7424. Deadlines for all ISPE Foundation
Scholarships are January 31 each year.
Amstutz
Memorial Scholarships - $1500
This award was established in memory of Melvin E. Amstutz, PE, whose
life was dedicated to the advancement and betterment of human welfare
and the engineering profession. Eligible students must be enrolled
in an ABET accredited engineering program, be at least a junior maintaining
a "B" average or better, and demonstrate financial need.
After the Amstutz Award is determined, the remaining candidates are
considered for the Advantage Award.
ISPE
Advantage Award/Foundation Scholarship - $1,200
The ISPE Advantage Award is reserved for the son or daughter of an
ISPE member in good standing, provided the applicant ranks among
the top five candidates. If no applications are received from children
of ISPE members, funds reserved for the ISPE Advantage Award shall
revert to a regular Foundation Scholarship.
ISPE/Peppy
Moldovan Scholarship - $1000
Applicants must be female engineering students currently enrolled
as a sophomore at one of the following colleges or universities.
- Illinois Central College, Peoria
- Kaskaskia Community College, Centralia
- Rend Lake Community College, Centralia
- Bradley University, Peoria
- Southern Illinois University, Carbondale
- Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville
- University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign
The scholarship is contingent upon recipient's enrollment and acceptance
in an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation
Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) at one of the following
universities:
- Southern Illinois University, Carbondale
- Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville
- University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign
NSPE offers scholarships
for engineering students, including:
- A scholarship for a minority student
- Six scholarships for undergraduates
- A scholarship for graduate studies
- An internship for graduate students

Brecheisen was awarded both the STeinman Fellowship worth $10,000 for graduate school and the NSPE/PEC George B. Hightower, P.E. Fellowship worth $3,000. Congratulations, Thomas!
