One of the most tangible benefits of membership is legislative advocacy. Your membership dues allow ISPE to have a full-time lobbyist in Springfield, representing your interests as a professional engineer. Having a lobbyist ensures that someone is at the Capitol looking out for your bottom line, and when necessary, pushing legislation to make it easier and more profitable for you to practice your profession.

At times it is helpful to have engineers contact their elected officials to urge the passage or defeat of specific items.  When such a piece of legislation come sup, ISPE sends out a Legislative Alert via email to every one of our members, informing you of the pertinant info on the bill and giving you the opportunity to send an email to your representative or senator with only 2 clicks of the mouse. We will also post direct links to our Legislative Alerts here.   We hope our new Legislative Alert program will result in more professional engineers than ever being involved in protecting their profession.
